We have a vacancy for a career professional in the position of Sales Engineer. We would like to talk to candidates with a minimum of three years extensive networking and communications sales and marketing experience. This experience should be underpinned with an appropriate and relevant tertiary academic qualification.
The position calls for someone with a professional knowledge base which includes Networking, the Ethernet/Internet hardware and software, Device servers, Routers, Switches, Network protocols and standards, WiFi, GSM/GPRS/EDGE, Telecoms, Serial to Ethernet, Java, TCP/IP, Products and technologies used in the PLC and Scada environments.

The incumbent's duties will consist of;
• Proactive initiation of customer contact, proposals, quotations and follow-up.
• Technical advice and solution proposals.
• Maintenance of existing customer relationships.
• Participation in sales programmes, planning & implementation.
• Identification and pursuit of opportunities.
• Contributions to market research and market development programmes.
• Origination of and commitment to budgets, targets and forecasts.
• Presentations (business, technical and training)
• Maintaining company sales at required levels.
