We have a vacancy for a career professional in the position of Technical Buyer. We would like to talk to candidates with a minimum of three years extensive procurement experience in manufacturing in the electronics industry. This experience should be underpinned with a tertiary academic qualification such as B.Tech.

The position calls for someone with a professional knowledge base that includes the functionality of electronic components, good manufacturing planning skills and ability to coordinate the supply of materials.

•  An ability to interact effectively with contract manufacturers.

•  Sufficient discipline to attend to good management practices.

•  Ability to control and manage Inventory.

•  Basic understanding of shipping and supply logistics.

•  Ability to communicate effectively with team members.

•  Competence in the use of Pastel, MS Office, Outlook and Excel.

The incumbent's duties will consist of ;

•  Procurement of components for Manufacturing and Product Development.

•  Inventory management and associated control.

•  Assembly of kits for manufacturing batches.

•  Liaison with contract manufacturers.

•  Control of Work-in-Progress.

•  Implementation Quality Management and other Company procedures.

•  Supply of Components and Finished Goods to Sales and Development.

•  Periodic reporting.
