The PocketPAD Buffer is a low-cost, light-weight device server
connecting an asynchronous serial device to Ethernet networks.
The PocketPAD Buffer will buffer received serial data to
non-volatile storage when no TCP connection is established.
The PocketPAD Buffer will act as a standard serial-to-Ethernet
converter when a TCP connection is established. The PocketPAD
can be used as a stand-alone desktop or mounted on a DIN-rail.
This product range includes the following hardware configurations:
- One RS232 serial to 10/100 Base-T Ethernet
- Device network connectivity via UDP/IP, TCP/IP.
- Device management via Telnet, DHCP/TFTP, Web Browser,
SNMP (MIB II), Built-in Serial configuration interface,
Windows configuration Utility.
- Flash memory for convenient software updates.
- 4MB user writable flash memory.
- Low cost, lightweight and compact size.
- DIN Rail mounting kit available.
